Since people seem to think that the off-topic section is for political discussion, something that is frowned upon, I have temporarily closed the section. ANY political discussions in any other forum will be deleted and the user suspended. I have had it with the politically motivated comments.

Guys, guess where I am, Nellis AFB, socan only write a brief note a some young sodiers waiting for this computer. We flew the practice show today, no losses. Some Kandy Ass Spit did the right act at the wrong time, but made a good landing. I may be remembering how to fly a Spit. More later.

Politics

Jack, if you insist we'll go back to politics. While waiting for a computer turn last night I had a converstion with a young man who runs an artillary battalion?, and who has already done a year each in Afg. and Iraq and will be going back again. We did not go into too deeply, but he expressed doubt and frustration that Iraqis are ever likely to quit each other, because " of something someone's grandfather did to someone else's grandfather. On the technical side he said 105 mm is reasonably accurate at 12 miles, and 155 mm at 19 miles! I'd hate to see anything happen to him ar others like him.

No, I don't insist at all. Talking dirty in code is much more fun! 8)
But, I did go to the dedication of a memorial today for Oregon service people lost in Iraq and Afganistan. A senior Sgt who served in both countries and Desert Storm said to "keep the swords sharp" because we have a long way to go over there to achieve our goals.

Bless you my child!

Jack, politics has always been a dirty game, so it's no surprise the political chatter follows suit.
