This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Sure would be cool to see a Martin B-26 flying again!

Maybe someone should start working on Weeks to get his going again. What ever happened to the three airframes that Al Reddick went and got out of Canada back the late 70's? or was that Alaska?

I'm pretty sure that they are, 1) The one here at MAPS, and 2) the one owned by Kermit Weeks
Correct me if I'm wrong
As for the aircraft on the thread... I really wish I could have seen all of them!
Someday!

Yup, Im pretty sure that's 86, and I must be next to both of you guys. I am going to pull my photos of that show in the next week or so as I am preparing to assemble a memorial of my 1. my uncle and 2....the CAF PBY that Gary is trying to get.

Kermit's Sunderland flying boat is amazing to see in the air. The fuselage is huge. He had it at Oshkosh one year and you could go to the seaplane base and watch it splash everyday!

To this list I'd have to add the 'Aerocar', saw that fly at Aspen one year, don't know if it still does or not....and I have in air shots from Oshkosh 2003 of the NASM Boeing 307, managed to get shots of it coming in to land where a lot of my photographic buddies missed the event because they were off attending a photographic briefing....now it's firmly grounded in the Udvar Hazy facility, never to fly again...
