This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Thanks for the credit Mint.
Mike DeMarino was flying the F6F and Chris Johnston the TBM at the April 2005 Warbird Weekend in Seveirville TN at the Tennessee Museum of Aviation.
Great little fly-in.
The F4F/F6F pics taken by Greg Moorehead were from the Warbird Digest B25 at Lancaster OH in 2005. Mark Watt was flying Steve Craigs F4F and Tim Jackson the POF F6F.
Cheers
Doug

Sure thing!
If, and I always say "if", the painting comes out looking OK, that is, I think it'll be marketable, I do plan on publishing this Corsair. What I usually do is complete a large(r) oil study and show that around offering pre-order discounts on prints.
I'd like to have you and anybody else interested to get on my email art newsletter list ... please email me at
chicoartist@yahoo.com and I'll put you on it.
Thanks,
Wade

Whoa, Corsairboss - I just wanted to say that's one of the most beautiful shots of any subject I've ever laid eyes on ... those reflections and the glossy sheen on the plane really display a lot of interesting things going on within the plane's already-beautiful shape.
My paintings are usually of dull-finish military planes, usually in a wartime enviroment, so I don't get a lot of chances to add "interest" like that - in fact, I usually have to
make up bounce-reflection interesting elements here and there!

My father flew with the RAF in Bomber Command, Coastal Command and then Transport Command. These were taken when he was in Transport Command flying on the Argosy.
