I have been lurking for a while & I have to say this is a great forum.
Theres all kinds of info & pic's on warbirds & aviation hisotry, I really enjoy it.

I dont own a airplane nor am I a pilot, but I have been a aviation fan ever since I was a small child.
My Grandfather worked on B-24's & P-47's state side during the war & my father is a big civil aviation buff so it runs in the family.

I like anything with wings but Im really into cold war ear stuff & WWII aircraft from the PTO.
Im also into diecast model aircraft.
When Im not working full time like a slave I run a diecast forum & rent a tiny space in a collectibles shop where we deal in diecast models.

Anyhow glad to be here.

Thanks for the warm welcome. 8)

Phantom, thats a tuff one, there is soo much nice stuff out now.
The hobby has really grown in the last few years so has the quality & detail of the models.
For a lot of people it boils down to personal preferance.
But IMO Hobby Master & the new Gemini Aces line are some of the best WWII aircraft in the 1/72 scale range.
Witty Wings makes great modern military jets in 1/72

For the larger 1/48 to 1/35 scale stuff Eagles International, GMP & Carousle 1 are the top dogs.
In the future I will post some diecast pic's in the model section.

I used to build plastic kits, I was O.K. at it but never great.
Top that with lack of free time & the diecast hobby just made more sense to me.
These models are far better than anything I could build & all I have to do is put on a few small parts in some cases.
