This guy REALLY likes Corsairs! Looks like the ultimate souvenir from Corsairs Over CT...

Ryan:

WOW that's a thing of beauty! Thanks also for posting the artist's contact info.

As it happens, a friend was just asking me if I knew of any inkslingers in CT. Now I have someone to recommend.

I believe it was his grandfather that he was paying tribute to...

Hey Ryan,

Pretty nice art work, I should tell Bill to post a picture of his bomber formation that's inked on his back.

That rules!

I know a guy in SoCal with a P-40, black and white at almost the same angle. I have a close friend who wants a B24 on his back to honor his grandfather.

I myself would like more ink, but I haven't designed anything I want that is that permanant. Someday though.

Very cool, and hat's off for having the nuts to go for it. I am sure his grandfather is looking down with pride.

cheers

Anyone that has photos of warbird or aviation related tattoo work, I'd love to incorporate it into a website I am building for aviation-themed tattoo work. Email it to keough.ryan@gmail.com and credit the artist and studio if possible. Thanks!

It looks good now, but I shudder to think what that poor Corsair is going to look like fifty years from now when it gets all wrinkled and has hair growing out of it. :P

Unfortunately, in 50 years it'll probably look like the Corsair on the pole in Stratford! Sagging and ready to drop!

If you've read WIX at all....seeing this post has got to make me believe that Greenwood has a Spitfire or two inked on his backside. Maybe, the whole Battle of Britian.

Please keep that to yourself Bill! The last thing we need is another one of those "Naked Fanny" posts...
