Anyone know what became of the C-7 Caribou that was used in the B-29 Kee Bird recovery attempt? I know Greenamyer sold it...I think...

Can this be added to the Warbird Registry?

The link shows it stripped on paint in 2001. Any news or updates since then? Any confirmation of the military serial?

I noted a military marked Caribou at Oshkosh this year. I wonder if it's the ex Army aviation group aircraft? At any rate, it's good to see one on the airshow circuit.

The Caribou you saw at Oshkosh this year was 62-4149/N149HF which is owned by the Cavanaugh Flight Museum. They got it from the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation a few years ago.

I thought I had spotted it a few years back in Wildwood, NJ with the rest of the Caribous there. I have a pic somewhere..... I'm probably wrong though.
