I believe the CAF once considered acquiring and restoring it, but ultimately decided it was too far gone.

When last I checked, the local government was effectively forcing the owners of the air strip to sell to developers. The same people who own the strip also own the Beech. Thus there's a good chance that this plane is bound for the scrapper unless someone intervenes.

Also, FYI, there are 3-5 old-school Greyhound busses rotting in the woods of the same field.

So if you are looking to restore a plane or a bus . . .

What airstrip is it located in N.J. How complete is it? I guess there are no pictures otherwise you would have posted them...Thanks, Tom

There is a C-45 rotting at Wakeman Ohio as well.

There are also substantial portions of a C-45 / SNB rotting away on board Naval Air Station Atlanta. It's in the woods just west of the engine test cell on the south side of the runway. Fuselage, wing center section and most of the tail. Still in white / orange paint.

If you don't know, NAS Atlanta shares the runway with Dobbins ARB and the Lockheed-Martin plant, northwest of Atlanta, where they make the C-130 and the F-22.

I actually do have some nice photos - from about 10 years ago. They are at my father's house. Next time I am there, I will scan and post them.
