Orlando International airport used to be a SAC base from the 1950's - 1970's know as McCoy AFB.
Many years ago a memorial park was built by the old terminal to honor the McCoy SAC crews who served in Vietnam.
My father would always take me here as a child to see the B-52, I thought it was the coolest thing.
Im now 31, Im glad the park & Buff are still around
Here are a few pics I shot of the B-52D on display in B-52 Memorial park.

LOL in fact I was thinking about contacting somebody about that, because I saw there were no photos of this bird on the site.

Thats funny I go there for the same reason sometimes.
I live in Altamonte to, I know a few local guys who are into wrabirds & diecast aviation models.
Sometimes we meet at my little shop to shoot the breeze about planes & models.
We are looking to plan a trip out to Fantasy of Flight, hit me up sometime.

Yep it's off a road by Tradeport Drive next what used to be the old terminal & is now the cargo section.
Im exactly not sure when the park was built, but it's been there since I got here in 1986.
Thanks for the comments guys.

Ive seen the tail peeking from behind the trees for years, but we are usually in the rental car shuttle on the way out of town by the time I remember its there.
I have been flying in and out of there for a long time but it was only recently that I found out why the airport was called MCO!
Great pics, Thanks.

Thanks Malo83, now I've got another question

.
Was the B-52 pressurized with engine bleed air or compressed air from a separate compressor?
(My next question is going to about oil leaks from the oil coolers getting into the pressurization system! I had a 757 with it this week so it's fresh in my mind!)
