Calling all New England WIXers

Fri Dec 08, 2006 9:40 pm

Just want to let you all know, we have reserved Conference room A at the Portland(Maine) Jetport for 20 January 07 from 10AM-Noon. It seems that the warbird/warbug population in Maine and Northern New England is growing. As Rob and I have semi-volunteered to help work on a warbird up here in the sticks, we have been talking about revamping the idea of the Dirigo Air Museum( mentioned this a year or so ago, but as life seems to get in the way of living some times it has stayed in the talking stage, although we have several airports and individuals of persuasion interested in our plans) into an organization to help support/maintain, promote and recover(??????) warbirds in Maine and Northern New England(or beyond??).We are looking to see how many people would be interested in joining/supporting an organization of this type. So all you New England WIXers(you know who you are), PM or e-mail me if you are interested in coming(we are trying to get a head count before hand), or just show up. Sort of a meet and greet, while getting an idea of the kinds of talents and abilities that are available for this Intrepid Endevour!
