Hey when I worked on RF-4C for the Reno Air Guard we would have the Aussie 111's up ever other year to hang out and go to the air races. After I got out of the guard I was told they did there last TDY in the Phantoms down to Aussie land before going to the Herks. I least that is what I'm told by a few of my former engine shop coworkers, which would have taken place in the late 90’s

I know what you mean about fuel burn in the Phantom, we would go and do trim runs, and when you went to AB the digital fuel flow indicators would go to dashes because they could not keep up with the fuel being fed to the engines. I sure do miss the Phantoms though, there is a special place in my heart for that airplane. I loved working on them; Mickey D sure knew how to make a fighter jet

I believe all the Israeli ones have been retired now.

Please don't forget the ones at Tyndall. Although drones they still are Phantoms.

The Japanese plan to phase them out from 2008 on. Not sure which aircraft will replace them. Both F-15 and F-2 production lines are closed now.
Maybe a F-15EJ, F-22 or F-35 ? We'll see what happens.

Here's a RF-4E at Tsuiki ab last October.
