Since people seem to think that the off-topic section is for political discussion, something that is frowned upon, I have temporarily closed the section. ANY political discussions in any other forum will be deleted and the user suspended. I have had it with the politically motivated comments.

ummm, our....uhhh...crack research staff is currently working on finding a resolution to this issue

I fixed it so do I qualify to tech monkey status?? I've been called a big ape before.
What did I do or what was it you ask.............
Well it was MSN and their stupid 56k interest access. I've now entered the 21st century with DSL and oh-I hit the screen of my monitor with some windex and elbow grease.

That makes some sense. A lot of the dial-up providers are "caching" large images in order to "speed up" their access. While they feed the nuts and bolts of a web page to you (the code) their servers pull down the really big files, such as pictures. Then they feed you a low resolution version until your machine has the time to pull in a better quality image. It's supposed to "seem faster", but nothing beats getting off of dial-up and onto a decent internet connection.

Also, I wouldn't have guess that was the cause of the issue in a dozen years. Glad you got it figured out on your own.
