I saw a B-25 flying around Fredericksburg, TX Thursday afternoon. Anybody know what the id of this B-25 is?

Best guess is Yellow Rose.

I suspect that it was the CAF's Yellow Rose, they have some kind of event in Kerrville this weekend.

It's a shame that they had to make the nose art "politically correct" on her. I have a shot of the nose art from Midland around 94 before the vest was painted on, and the place where I had the pictures developed wouldn't even print it.

It was the "Rose" in Fredericksberg last weekend and left after the fog cleared later in the week. I think the Rose was one of the first to fight the politically correct nose art battle, and just gave in after so many years of bitching and whinning.

We even had a lady at the USAFM ask us if we could rename The B-24 "Strawberry Bitch" to "Strawberry Gal" . I explained to her why that name is on there and she continued to argue with me about it, until Gen. Metcalfe came along and told her "Why don't you get the hell out of here, it is obvious that you don't know or understand what you are looking at." It was one of the wildest things I have ever seen at the museum.
