Morning everyone!

I took my last vacation day of the year yesterday and am seriously regretting it since I have a mountain of paperwork sitting on my desk in front of me this morning along with 13 voicemail messages. :x Sooooo....you guys have fun without me while I start earning my paycheck for once.

Have a good one!

John

I so completely understand what you're saying about never having money in your pockets. Your tattoos are great! I really like them, very very cool. I am an absolute tattoo nut! I love them. I will have to photograph them all, I have 7 in total... yikes!

The next, maybe last (?) (Doubtful) one will be a warbird somewhere... I also thought about getting a little tiny Fininella, but I'm not positive.

I was thinking about getting a half sleeve of all warbirds, but tattooing down my arms is a big committment to me, and I am just not certain I am ready to do it. My back is all taken though so it leaves legs and arms pretty much... and I just can't decide!

Break time!

Geez Steph....7 tattoos!......you put my 4 to shame. Just be careful if you get any down your arms where they can be seen while wearing a short-sleeved shirt. Try to be as conservative as possible because you never know when you'll be applying for that $100,000 manager's position some day. I knew quite a few Army buddies that had tattooos of naked chicks, skulls w/daggers through them, etc that probably have wonderful careers at Burger King now. Don't get me wrong...I love tattoos myself and feel that they are much more acceptable these days. However, there are still a lot of up-tight conservative managers and employers out there that still try to judge people's character by the type and amount of "body art" they have. (enough preaching...SORRY)

I used to want one when I was young, but the thought of the needle always terrified me -- Now that thought doesn't scare me as much as how they'd look now that I'm older!

You're not preaching, and if you are . . . well it's just sage advice. That's the other reason I haven't done anything more at this point. All of mine, as it stands, can be completely covered and no one would be the wiser. They're mostly on my back and the back of my neck so its easily taken care of. Something on my arms, etc., would be much more difficult and I don't think I am ready to commit to such a big tattoo until after I land a flying job, etc. :D So, anything else will have to wait a while!

I appreciate your input . . . the job market is tricky enough these days without basically shooting myself in the foot with a tattoo!

I used to fear needles but I got over it, though I don't suggest my method. When I was on chemo I stopped counting at 100 seperate needle sticks and that was in the first round, I had three rounds of chemo and much more poking tests. After awhile you don't care too much. :)

2007 will be the year of my first tattoo, It will be to comemorate 5 years since the cancer diagnosis. I will probably get two though, one to mark the 10th anniversary of the WRG, which we reached last march.
