P-39 Question

The forward fuselage bears evidence of the serial number 42-19027, the name "Small Fry" ...

From what I have heared it is without data plate or ID. Parts got mixed up with the POF P-39.

I heared about the TFC P-39 that it got no airshow bookings (besides Flying Legends) and that pilots were not eager to fly it because of its reputation.

The Fighter Factory will most likely receive thier fully restored P-39 this year too. The guys I fly with there that operate the Spit, Huri and P-40, typically need to shut down on a lengthy downwind taxi due to overheating depending on OAT . The P-40 seems a bit less affected. This is minimized, or negated if they can creep up behind a preceding aircraft and take advantage of its prop wash.

Totally inaccurate.

The radiator has been replaced and ground run successfully,but then the oil cooler let go.
This has now been fixed and will be fitted in the new year.
Test flying will then take place in the hands of chief pilot Pete Kynsey.
This will be carried out on the N reg.
After testing the aircraft will transferred onto the British register.

As an update TFC flew the P-39 this week.

Further test flying will be ongoing.
