This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Yo...Brandon...You seem to have forgotten the only plane there that's even worth mentioning. I could be prejudiced tho'.
Mudge the incorrigible
ps. Is there such a thing as being "corrigible"?
And how come my sky is bluer than yours?

Of course there's my other favorite plane that was there. That back seat is just BEGGING for a rider. (Is that too subtle?)
Mudge the persistent
ps. Of course that back seat may be a 1/32 scale and I'm a 1/18 scale.

Might we get 2 next year, if 'Glacier Girl' comes out to play?

Probably because yours were taken on the Saturday and Brandon's on the Sunday.
Some of my favourites from 2006.
Hope to see you both there next year!

I added this to my calendar this week! I am there for sure! These pics already have me pumped up!
Anything new coming out of Fighter Rebuilders close to may that time frame that we might see fly?
Saw a pic on another forum of TFCs early model P40. Maybe see that one!?!?

Is that what I think it is? An Airacobra complete with a cover over a non-existant prop?

That's the first good pic of the P-59 I've seen... and well done to those guys for duplicating the "rollout" of the original back in 43 or 44, good show.
That closeup of the AD with all the boards out is just wicked, WICKED I tell ya!
Thanks for all the cool pics, I wish I could've been there- I was at Chino last March when they had the P-26 being painted, the AT-12 disassembled, and the P-51A was not only in pieces, but was still in RAF markings! They truly worked a miracle to get all those birds ready for the show.

You never know, they work pretty fast around there. Some projects don't get started until April to get ready for the show.

Stephen Grey always seems to have two or three projects going on there at any given time, the FHC Zero is in work there, etc. Bob Pond's collection is nearby too and there are lots of warbirds in the area so you never know what will be attending. Maybe John Paul will have something new to bring by then? Feel free to speculate!
I'll try and add some of my Friday and Saturday photos later as well. That's just the folder I started with. Was the P-38 there Mudge? I think I missed it! Maybe you have a picture to share showing you there with it??????

I always screw up the airacomet and airacobra names. Something must be cross wired in my brain.

THANKS for all the Great Shots! That Skyraider is beautiful, and that's an unbelievable "Heritage Flight" with the F-86, P-51, Seversky and the P-26.
Tthat would be one terrific sight.
And that's good news about trying to restore the P-59 Airacomet to flying status. If they can do that, why can't we see a P-80/F-80 Shooting Star restored to flying status, also??
I know we have T-33s, but.........
