The quality may be good, but I don't think I'd ever call the sight of old airplanes being cut up "good".

Look at the size of the motors out of the, Backfires or are those Blackjacks ? ! Makes the J-79 look like a toy !

i dont know i think the bears dont look to bad 
,and i think one would be pretty good on the airshow circuit (maybe someone should tell mike beachyhead that his lightnings need something to intercept )

Sorry guys, but seeing planes get cut up sucks in any language. I wonder if our Department of Defense or State Dept would allow a museum to negotiate the purchase of some de-milled examples to put on static display.

They are probably being cut up to satisfy SALT II treaty obligations, much like our B-52 commitment.

no wonder scrap metal prices are through the roof..... that's alot of heavy iron sitting around. you'd think the russians would get off their asskies & scrap the stuff for rubles to feed their crapped out economy. naturally, i don't approve of scrapping as a warbird lover, but their country is economically trashed, & has been for years.

The nose of the Badger definately has a "B-17-esque" look to it. Any reason for this? Perhaps some "re-engineering" of interned WWII B-17's?

that would be cool to see, I really like the bear. It would be great to see it "escorted" by a pair of F-15's or F-18's and a formation flyby with a B-52 would be amazing.
