I am looking to add two new type too the registry, the Chipmunk and the Tiger moth. I know there are quite a few of these aircraft in exsistance but I do not have time to take on these aircraft (yes, I am realizing I can't do everything :) ) What I need is someone to research the aircraft and create a data sheet for me on each aircraft. I can then take this and create the registry from them. If one of you intrepid individuals would like to help with either of these aircraft types then let me know. Also, if there is a type not covered that you want to see covered, this is the way to get it added. If I get the information then I will created it.

It's fairly easyto , just use this as a template to fill out the information, putting a N/A when the data is unknown.

Serial #: 51-14666
Construction #: 182-353
Civil Registration:
Unknown
Model: T-6G
Name: None
Status: Displayed
Last info: 2003

History:
Delivered to Thai AF as ???, 19??.
RTAF Museum, Bangkok, Thailand, circa 1967-2003.

Source(s):
Steve Darke/www.thai-aviation.net

Photo Source(s):

And then you can send it to submit@REMOVEwarbirdregistry.org (delete the REMOVE before sending) and you can attach images to the e-mail. Please make sure you list sources and credit's where applicable and please list the type and serial number in the subject line, it makes it easier for me to sort them that way. Also, one e-mail per aircraft (instead on one e-mail with 10 aircraft in it) is more useful but not required.

Thanks.

Scott, be good to see these types covered.

I have "The Tiger Moth Story" which includes a list of surviving Tiger Moths at January 2005. It does say there are believed to be additional aircraft, but the c/n and currrent registration/serial could form a good basis of the registry for WIX members to flesh out. There are something like 750 to 1000 aircraft in the list. I could scan and copy the details into an Excel file if you like?

Cheers

Is that the Tiger Moth in Christchurch by chance? I watched it do spin off the coast a few years back.

TIA,

Lynn

No this is the Bangkok machine. There are several Tigers based around Christchurch.

I will have a crack at it on Wednesday - see how good my OCR software is!

Hope you all had a good Christmas by the way!

Suggest you get permission first. I think you'll find the author would be OK if asked, but it's a breach of copyright to do so without...

Scott, I'll submit info on our 2 Chipmunks at Purdue University shortly. I got the service history of each from a gentleman named Rod Brown from the UK. He seems to be in the know as far as Chipmunks are concerned. I imagine he could be a great resource for the Chipmunk registry. He has a site: www.chipmunkflyer.co.uk There's a link to his email there. -Todd Brewer

They organise annual gathering, here in Belgium.

The excellent news is that Stuart McKay at the de Havilland Moth Club has very kindly given his permission to use his list of Tigers...

The irritating news is that my new scanner doesn't have OCR (or not that I can find it) so I will have to do the scanning next week when I am back at work.

Cheers
