Hey Dave. Just gotta talk a little smack and they're good sports about it...just as long as they do what they're told right?

I'm on a 24 hr TPA layover--just flew in this a.m. Any suggestions? I thought about going to Kermit Weeks' Fantasy of Flight.

Should be about an hour drive to FOF. Don't know about getting to MacDill, but there is a B-50 and I forget what else there. Ybor City is always an option too. But not much airplane stuff there. Cigars and beer though!

I've flown into MacDill a bunch doing Aeromed Evac training and on one of those trips it was Gasparilla (sorta Mardi Gras "light") in Ybor City...almost didn't get the crew home a couple of nights! :twisted: My boys befriended some attractive female med students and found them to be ideal partners in crime for the festivities. Naturally I maintained my professional demeanor at all times since I was the adult supervision. Thank God for taxis.

FOF is cool. Last time I dropped in there, they did a flight demo of the German Fiesler Storch--very cool!

Went to FOF I think a year ago this fall, and Kermit flew the B Mustang. Always a cool place to visit. Ybor can be a lot of fun, especially when there is a party of some sort. Glad to hear that you are the responsible adult. Would not want to ruin your image with the girls!

Check out the Christmas loot! I even have jet airplane jammies on! Awesome... Santa was totally good to me. Can't wait to dig into the Smithsonian Book of Flight... awesome! Started reading the Hughes biography last night... very interesting.
