What I got to do on New Years Day or HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Mon Jan 01, 2007 7:53 pm

Once again, due to the kind friendship of one Paul Keppeler (T33 Driver) who hooked my up with Tony Buechler and Petie 2nd, I got to experience some up close and personal formation flying.

So the rest of my year can go down hill from here but I'm happy! Sure you'll see additional images from my good friend Henning.

Enjoy and I hope the rest of you have the same good fortune one day!

Happy New Year Wixers!

greetings scott!

Well, you win the lucky guy award again today! I can certainly testify that he
had one major grin from ear to ear this afternoon. Check your inbox!
I'll let you decide which ones you guys want to post!

Beautiful day for flying! and once again thanks to our friend paul for convincing
me away from the WI badger game (citrus/cap one bowl) and setting
this up. A great time was had by all.

Ok, most of you guys are missing the obvious shocker: That Crites Field wasn't buried under 3 feet of snow on New Year's Day!

Gotta' love El Nino! 8)

Henning,

As a fellow Univ of WI alum I can appreciate your decision to leave the Badger football game for some warbird photography--but hey, warbirds or football, it's a winning day either way! Your photography is incredible and I'm envious at your knack for composition, not to mention camera programming for the ideal lighting and resolution. You're on deck for the next Crites aerial rat race...let's do a photography and mission "debrief" this week over adult beverages! Thanks again for the great pics and beer induced jabs yesterday!! :D

cheers,

Paul

p.s. Dan, I'm sure there's a May blizzard on the way to punish us for this mild December/New Years weather!

What makes you think it's good, clean livin' that got me here? 8)

Will post more images tonight.

Here's a shot, although it appears air to air, it was taken from the ground and we were just under 3000 feet on final break.

Pretty cool stuff Henning! Can't wait to see the rest of the ground shots. Thanks again!

No, definitely ain't clean living...but Scott can drink beer and smoke a cigar pretty well and flies even better!

Whew! Good thing you stopped at the beer & cigar. My "Mom" would probably ground me if she knew any more!
