Howdy All

Does anyone know where an Allison V-1710 Engine can be obtained ?
( Besides the one currently on Barnstormers Website )

What do New Old Stock Allison engines sell for on the market ?
What does an Allison engine cost, to Overhaul ?

Have been told that Restores wont pay more than a few thousand Dollars due to cost of Overhauling the engines !

Thanks

There are 30+ available for sale right now new in the crate. They go for $30,000+ and would cost double that to rebuild. Contact Fantasy of Flight if you plan to purchase one for an airplane. They arn't being sold to boat or tractor racers.

Yes! Somebody posted a photo tour at Barnstormers of their trip to FOF in 2004. Try the link below and scroll down to begin your look at Kermit Week's engine cache.

The engines in the pictures are just the ones in the engine room on the backlot tour. There is another warehouse that is not on the tour and the numbers put away in cans and crates are staggering! I think they said Kermit had something like 30+ R2800s, the same for Allisons, still in the crates, he's also got a bunch 3350s !

I only have 18 left for sale, 111's and 113's, the rest are spoken for. You can contact me by PM or email through the WIX site or my work email jack at fantasyofflight dot com.

Thanks,
Jack

Does he have any 1820's available? We are always on the lookout for a spare for the S-2 and C-60.

You should maybe contact the seller of this one. Was unsold at 12K.

Allison turn out quite often there at 15 to 20K but documentation and engine history is usually a problem.
