Hi, y'all!

Tim, whose last name I don't remember, was building three IIRC, full scale P-26 replicas in Mt. Washington, KY.

I know that he moved his operation to Seymour, IN.

The last e-mail address that I had for him, bounced -of course- and I am trying to contact him since I am in Indiana and would like to ask for permission to visit and take pix of his projects.

Any help in contacting him, please PM me.

Thank you!

Tulio

These projects were written up in one of the more recent Challenge Publications and I believe their was either a web site or a email address.
I can't check mine until much later tonight, but will get back to you...

I have a bunch of pictures from April, if you want those (not the highest quality, they are grainy shots) I would be happy to give you some of the shots.

Thank you, guys!

Yes, I would like those photos.

And of course, if I can manage a visit, I will be glad to share my photos.

E-mail address via PM

The P-26 Replica profiled in the November Air Classics is being built in Mass. It is being built by Mayocraft in Bolton, MA...

Tulio do you want the contact information for Mayocraft?

THey've already been taxing the P-26 in Mass.

Finally got to meet Tim O'Connor.

What a great guy!!!!!

To put it simply, the work on the P-26s is awesome.

Attention to the smallest detail, superb workmanship, flushed riveting and no dimples whatsoever!

Lots and lots of technical and engineering data, blueprints and photographs; when these babies make it to the skies, it will be something worth seeing.

Tim, thank you for taking the time to talk to me and for showing me your aircraft.

The workmanship is simply outstanding isn't it, Tulio?

Yes, Trey, it is really impressive!

But added to it, the great guy that Tim is, and the visit turned out to be a really great experience.

He explained at length the process of making different parts, how they fit together, how the fabrication process involved so many different angles and curves for many seemingly simple pieces.

He is justifiably proud of his work, and he should be!

Saludos,

Tulio
