I probably put this in the wrong forum..............but, these have been my new hobby project over the past few months.

I draw these up in a CAD program, send it over to our abrasive waterjet machine and cut them out, bend any parts that may need it, weld up and choose a base and mount them up.

"Kansas City Kitty" is going to Dr. Stricker and "Conjon IV" is going to a gentleman in San Antonio whose father flew this airplane during the war. I know his father was killed in WW II, but am not totally positive that he was shot down in this aircraft.

Thought ya'll might get a kick out of them.

I have also done a larger model with three of Rod Lewis' aircraft. "Rare Bear", TF-51 "La Pistolera" and his Corsair. "Rare Bear" is climbing out in the middle and the TF-51 and corsair are on each side banking away.

Those are really really neat! Do you take commissions?

Nice P-51's!
Are they made of metal? They look it.

I have some ideas on price, PM me what you think one would be worth. Keep in mind, I would do as much detail as possible of the aircraft that you want.

They are made of steel but, I have done one in stainless and it turned out VERY nice. The steel ones left in their natural patina with the mesquite bases like in the photos are my favorite!

Here are some examples of the detail I put in Rare Bear, La Pistolera and a Corsair. I will get a picture of the finished product of these airplanes when it is finished.

King,

Incredible craftmanship. I hope you consider going into production or taking commissions. Would you expand to other aircraft types, or are you sticking with the mustang, bearcat, and corsair?

i'm basically bored with the model glut in the mags, internet, & ebay... but these are a refreshing new art form.

If there is a 3-view picture of the airplane, I can do a model. Except that business jets with engine pods on the fuselage, or elsewhere, look kinda funky.

That is why I like the rustic look of these models!
