My favorites are the gate guard aircraft, P-40, F4U, and the Mystery machine.

Anyone know is operating this Mohawk? At the time I thought it was still operated by the Military until I remembered reading that the OV-1 was retired in the '90s.
Anyone know if the Mohawk is affordable to maintain and operate in Civilian hands?

great pics, thanks!
What's up with the twin nosewheel on the static Panther? Looks like a towing bogie or something?
Strange seeing a Tomcat mixed in with all the "antiques"; I guess it is now one of them as well....
cheers

upon closer inspection, are the wings of the Tomcat in their maximum (storage) folded position? They seem to be cranked in closer than they would be for high-speed flight. Seems like a strange way to display it, as there does not seem to be anything in close proximity.

Wasn't there a museum in Kenosha (Kenosha Military Museum?) operating some Mohawks? Maybe it is one of those????

OV-1D
62-5874 is operated by the Carolinas Aviation Museum. There are a number of Mohawks flying in Civilian hands. The museum in Kenosha operates at least 1, and American Wings has 3 that are maintained in airworthy condition with 1 being the regular flyer. I think there are at least a few other civilian Mohawks flying, but I'm not sure about the details on those.

Is that the Panther that was derelict in Arizona years ago with NAS Glenview markings? I recognize the double nosewheel and towbar as well.

I think the engines run about 75-90 gal/hour.
I would guess similar to a B-25 for the hourly/insurance.
