This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Fotobass, he does have a point!
Something about the Corsair, the first time I saw it, it became instant favorite. It's a beautiful airplane.

Stephanie, I'd be careful with Eric's offer if I were you... as you can see in the picture, his has small red spots on it.
Interesting point. I have often wondered about those, if iron crosses painted on the airplane represented german aircraft conquered, and rising sun flags represented japenese aircraft conquered, what do those little "red dots" represent? I don't know....but they do kind of look like, little cherries.

This one has a back seat
Remember, Doug has had the Corsair, with the back seat, for a long time. Yet, he still has to pay women to get near his airplanes.

Stuart,
1. Did Doug tell you why you couldn't fly the PT-19 that day?
2. Looks like you will have to get a back seat in that Corsair you fly just to "compete" with all these other Casanovas!
3. I assume you enjoyed flying the Sea Fury. (Its also has a back seat!)
Doug,
The Corsair has a spare seat, but I think Eric already has an unfair advantage when it comes to how many people he can satisfy with each flight in that SUV he owns.

From where he sits at the front of the bus, he can only hear them be satisfied if the intercom is on.

Surely, after all your years in aviation, you know, that is precisely what the copilot is for, so I can step into the back to take care of "important business". Just in case you are wondering you can go from the cockpit to the rear compartment in flight. Ed Heinemann thought of everything.

I guess I'm a little late to the show, here, but mine is big, has a back seat,
and has 60,000 pounds of
thrust.
It doesn't have a big spinny-thing on the front end, though.

But Randy, don't you have to ask Uncle's permission before you can go out, and don't you need a couple of other guys on the ground to get you going?

I really can't believe you guys. Here we were having an intelligent discussion of something really important, girls, and ya let it degrade to airplanes; then to the gutter with a jet. I'm beginning to wonder
