well gang (yes you all) i started on my new career path today and will so for the next 2 yrs(ugh) but when i emerge i will be one of those(hopefully) sought after guys. i have started working on getting my A&P. class started today and boy was it fun(insert sarcasm here) the first 3 days will be intro to aviation(fun stuff... again insert here). i hope to be of better use then i am now withing the warbird community afterwards( i already work on a few just dont get to sign off on anything. i will also be getting my avionics out of the way while im in so i can work on that was well when complete. sooooo any restoration shops out there.... ill be done in 2 years keep a spot somewhere out there for me please lol. ..... that is all ..... carry on :lol: :P

Cool! The world needs more round engine mechanics. Sometimes I wish I had persued an A&P when I had the opportunity 25 years ago.

well i didnt think it seemed fit to be in the hangar with the warbird stuff since i only have a pic of the 1820(just to show i actually work on them).... its just about me going into A&P school not a warbird. but if the powers see fit they can move it around where ever they please. and thanks!

tarrant county college, they are suppose to be in the top 5 for thier A&P course.

Good luck!

I spent 2 days with my mechanic hanging a jug on my O2. I learned much about how the engines work and saved $$$$$doing most of the work myself. I should log all that time if I ever get my A+P.

That's great !!!! Learn well (I have a habit of having things break when I visit Chuckie's hangar....LOL :twisted: )

I really wish I had logged all the time I have spent wrenching under an IA in last 15 or so years.....he would have been willing to sign me off for the written in the past if I had logged.....not sure you can still do it that way anymore.

i thought that black bird looked firmilar ive seen it at the hangar before. always did kinda like the o2. just looks cool looks like ill be taking extra classes next year now as well so i can get my avionics taken care of as well. i kinda wished i had logged my time as well. ive been off and on working on chuckie since '97(all i get are maintenace flights for the blood ive spilt :twisted: ). i hope i can do some good with the warbirds after im out.

Haven't visited as much this year as in past couple of years but I'll be up at least once in Sept and once in Oct (BroncoFest)....and I am telling the pretty bird not to break :roll: ...but maybe I'll see ya then.
