Sokolove, who told you NASA invented PYREX? Was it a White House spokesman, or one of OJ's lawyers? My parents had Pyrex back in the 50's, long before NASA. Google says the name Pyrex was patented by Corning Glass in 1915. Bet they did it without a massive influx of tax dollars also.

I brought up the idea that perhaps some of the Nasa budget might be better used for something that would provide more real and direct benefit to most Americans. This apparently is worse than mentioning the Emperors lack of clothes, in some people's mind. I got to thinking how much is the budget so I looked it up, $16.4 Billion in 07.
