I was painting the cowling tonight. Cured the problem I had withe the tacho drive and should get the cowling done early next week. I have one undercarriage to fuselage fairing to fit and some interior. Then, weight and balance, fuel flow check, lost of paperwork (which has been started) and then even more paperwork.

It is a lot closer than it was this time four years ago!

Wish I had a greenhouse but the pipe is working fine in its own vile way and the slippers are both warm and smelly. Just the way I like it.

They even let me have one of your fine North American products as an Avatar here, it's only on FlyPast that they make me have a Spitfire.

It seems the WIX forum has a long history of refugee acceptance, being instituted as a refugee center for the old WW/VA forum way back when.

I'm always thankful for all the friends I have made from all over the world through this forum. While I hope the Key Publishing guys get the FP forum back up I'm glad of the oppurtunity to meet even more enthusiasts and hopefully make even more friends.

Battle of Britain Monument Fund nears its target
Announcement from Rt. Hon The Lord Tebbit
Lord Tebbit, chairman of the Battle of Britain Monument Committee, announces today that some £1.6 million has now been raised towards the estimated cost of £1.65m, and that the balance is expected to be attained very shortly.

Significantly, more than £230,000 has been received in the last two weeks following Lord Tebbit's revelation in the Mail on Sunday that the Lotteries Heritage Fund had, with the support of the Culture Secretary Miss Tessa Jowell, financed another World War II monument but had refused assistance to the Battle of Britain London Monument.

As for WIX, you win. Welcome back. It's all yours. I'll be on flypast (if it ever comes back). You're welcome there, just try not to insult the Brits or convince them that you were friends with everyone involved in the attack on the Pentagon, or that you have a squadron of Brewster Buffalo fighters in the backyard. It will help your credibility more than you can imagine.
