You assume way to much. You need to stop that!

For the sake of this discussion about structural failures, I don't think so. I could've been anything, and you didn't specify.

Since when is a question an assumption?

Chris,
The point I was trying to make was this. How many critical bolts are there in a T-6? Answer...Lots! With no information you presume it was one attaching the tubular to the rear fuselage and the tail brole off on landing. With no information and numerous possibilities instead of assuming just ask what actually did happen. This approach really works well....Honest it does!!!!!

Which bolt failed? For the Tail cone, or the fuselage to the center section.

Read this again Chris. This is what you wrote.

I still asked, and used an example. I didn't assume. Let's drop it, please.

Eric:

I am glad to hear that you are OK.

I feel for those who were actually involved in the accident, both those who died and those who made it.

Take care, man!

Saludos,

Tulio

What's up with this guys? Crashes are very rare when you consider the number of crashes to the number of planes flying.

I would be more concerned if someone crashed their car on the way to work.

Another brilliant quote from Chris. Is this guy for real?give me a break.
If he's not trying to piss off Mr.Rohr,He's making totally inappropriate remarks like this one.Or dreaming of Aircraft recovery missions that will never happen and arguing with people such as Mr.Rohr who have been there and done that. Here we have a gentleman who has been a very generous contributor to this siteand was possibly seriously injured or even killed and Harvard IV comes up with this?am I wrong to question this response? If I am being out of line then I apologize to all of my fellow WIX members including Harvard IV.However,I dont believe that I am.

That was stated in the context that I believed AIRIC was ok, because I goofed and thought he was a seasoned pilot who wouldn't ever crash.

For a list of those rare accidents and seasoned pilots you can visit the monthly list of accidents at : http://www.ntsb.gov/NTSB/month.asp

and for daily accidents, yes everyday: http://www.faa.gov/avr/aai/iirform.htm

Last weekend alone there were 29 accidents or incidents listed. This doesn't include all the small fields or private strips that don't report such incidents/accidents.

Glad to also hear that you are in safe shape at home Eric.............

Thanks Roger. It sure hit home and I really feel for the guys in that aircraft. Had several calls this week from people happy to see I'm ok, felt good, but weird.

I read it on the HAG board! I was in shock about it  . I had to post here to find out if it was true, THANKFULLY it wasn't. :)

But there was a crash in Florida like Ryan posted and thought and prayer go out to those involved and their families.

Glad to hear your feeling better, Eric! Some poopyheads just don't have a clue as to what it's like to find out you've died and don'know it. I got to read my name in the obits about 20 years ago and it's a really weird feeling. Here's to a speedy recovery. :partyman:
