Hi Folks:
We've discussed this at some length earlier. Right now if you had the choice between going to Ternate and Morotai, or Yap and Guam, which one would you go and why?
Thanks,
Chris

For those of you contemplating a recovery mission to the pacific this may be of interest.
I received this second hand and was asked to post.

Actually that's encouraging news. The Army Corps of Engineers is quite easy to deal with!

Sure, if you have the time to wait for them to "consider the potential effects of your work".

I get things approved by them all the time.

Actually, they are very reasonable, and will seriously consider anything that has been signed off by an archeologist. If it's not signed off by an archeologist, then won't even look at the request.

That being the case, I'd suggest getting an archeologist from the University of Guam and go after the Val, Jake or Rufe that are in the water just off San Luis Point in Apra Harbor.

The question is would you really want to go after a plane in the salt water? If so, I think the arche-
ological fees will run upwards of $5000 just to get permission alone. That is if the Army Corps of Eng's
approved it. Sorry about this
