Pilatus P2

I know there are some other posts on this topic, although they are quite old so...

Does anyone have any information on the Pilatus P2-05 or P2-06? I have plenty of info on its history, now I'm looking for operations type information.

Also, I'm looking for copies of the manuals for the Pilatus P-2, the Argus 410 engine and the Argus L22 prop.

Assuming you are looking for material in English, maybe contacting one of the organisations that has operated the type in the UK might be able to help?

IIRC, The Aircraft Restoration Co, Plane Sailing and The Old Flying Machine Company, among others, used to operate the type, or had staff who did -although none of them do now. They may have residual papers in English, especially if the aircraft was sold to a French / German speaking country.

Handsome little plane, the P2.

The former Blue Max Museum at Booker had G-BLKZ on display for several years. The museum housed aircraft that had taken part in various feature films and TV series over the years, the P2 having donned spurious(ish) Luftwaffe camo back in 1988 for Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

it is ex G-BONE, from England, has not flown for 6 years, we are close to changing that!!

Someone else that was frequenting the board had bought Peter's and was asking questions a year ago or so.

Another one is being restored to fly at Schellville Airport, in Ca. Should be ready to fly in another year or so.

I don't think there are any flying in the UK nowadays - the last one (G-CJCI?) was shipped to Germany, while I believe G-BLKZ was force-landed in a field, and set on fire by vandals later on....

Going by the CAA's G-INFO, none are currently registered in the UK. Pity, but on the other hand it's good to see that some of our American friends are brave enough to grapple with an aircraft with German bits that was made by the Swiss and came to them from the UK...
