Straight from the field, we got into Geneseo around 5:17pm and was met by rain, rain, and more rain. Needless to say there was no flying going on. We drove down to the show and did a quick look around. From the view from the car we could see on the field:

B-25 Miss Hap
B-25 Take Off Time
C-47 MARC
C-47 1941 HAG
SB2C CAF
SBD CAF
C-119 1941 HAG
Chipmunk x2
Harvards
Bamboo Bomber
FG-1D Skyboss AAM

In the hangar was:

P-51 Glamorous Gal
Fokker DR1
Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter
A-20
etc.

Of course there were way more aircraft than that on the field, but that was just what we could see from our quick vantage point. We then proceeded to the Quality Inn up the road and found Dan Dameo and Jim Vocell in the from the American Airpower Museum in NY. Jim flew Miss Hap in and Dan flew Skyboss. Also in the lobby was Tom Duffy who flew in his B-25. All great guys. The total party involved in our group is myself, my father, my mother, my girlfriend, and my mother's 2 friends so needless to say we had alot of people that weren't so jazzed about seeing airplanes so we went out for dinner and didn't get a chance to return back to the field. More tomorrow if Im not completely tired or passed out. :shock: :wink:

The CAF's P-51C is there too. She flew in Thursday night. Well, she must be somewhere!

The weather today was just about as far from yesterday as you could get.

Yesterday = :evil: due to weather
Today = :D due to weather

Saw a ton of stuff fly today. Got to hang out under Miss Hap with Jim Vocell for awhile.

Here's the rundown:

Lysander
P-51 x4 (Missing Man Formation)
B-25 x2
B-17 w. P-51s serpentine overhead
Corsair w. Helldiver
Dauntless stayed in the hangar :(
Dragon Rapide :D
Firefly!
Replica Val and BT-13 together 8)
Fokker DR.1 x2
Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter
SE5A
Harvards :wink:
and plenty more but I cant remember it due to the fact that I ended up getting heat stroke, left before all the fun after hours stuff happened and ended up ralphing alongside the pool back at the hotel. :evil: Except for that it was a good day.

One small thing that I noticed this year, as opposed to the past few years, was that there was a lot more flying! Maybe it was because of the clear weather, or fuel prices, but the Mustangs and trainers were taking off and landing from the time the show ended until dusk. Sitting on that field, late in the day after the crowds leave, is something that I look forward to all year.

Yup!
Saturday we heard flying from 7:00am, and kept going till almost 8pm. not quite the old days, but it was good to see.
The lineup was light, but did not dissappoint in my opinion, I got to see the Lizzie, and Yeagan's Rapide, it was something. :?
There were several acro acts that made it run long too. Rob in the MX2, Manfred in his glider, a Christen Eagle, then later in the day and a Father and Son act in C registered Pitts', and a Jungmeister too.
How about the Viper West Guys? The practice on Friday kicked ass! Saturday did not dissappoint either.
Out in front of the crew tent there were two guys on the showline in chairs till almost 8pm, Thats is why we love it there too. Because they can!
There were several rides in the CAF airplanes before dinner, it was wonderful to see them up and down several times.
The results of the photo shoot between Chris B. and Rob Holland are amazing, glad we got to see them depart and return.
There were two gorgeous stearman on the West end. The ones with the wheel pants. Wow were they nice.
Other unique airplanes on the line were the Yellow Bellanca, and the Yellow Stinson. Lots of Yellow on the East end too. :wink:
