I didn't follow that, and not sure how it relates to an imperiled 109 at an airshow? Can you explain?

Sorry, I thought dhfan would like to know that the error he thought he found wasn't as that some of the buchons in BOB did belong to the CAF. I won't be posting any more as I don't want to throw off any more threads.

It would be interesting to hear the pilot's version.

Anyone want to guess what happened?
A left handed spin entry...?

Of course right handed with the original Centaurus! I've done this in a Stearman as well when too slow at the top of a loop. You don't have as much torque but you do have significant P-factor.

So how well does the Sea Fury respond to a spin?

Better than the T-6 or Mustang. The Sea Fury wing gives you notice when she's had enough and is getting ready to quit flying. Almost like flying a jet, where you can max perform right to the edge by tickeling the buffet. Normal stalls are predictable, with no tendency to drop a wing if the ball is kept centered. Spin recovery is also normal and quite positive, mainly thanks to the very effective vertical stab and rudder.

I got a ride on a golfcart with a well known pilot at Chino last weekend, the first thing I asked him was if he had seen this and I enjoyed seeing his reaction:
