As you know, I've got a lot of time for your input and experience Rich. I sometimes think you're right, too.

Over the last several years I haven't heard of any other part of the World that politics and Government concerns seem to be a threat to continued Warbird operation. At least in the sense that we expect operations to be more restrictive and have more unknowns in the future rather than being the same or easier to operate.
Me neither. Nor do I think that warbirds are likely to be an issue under the treaty (
if it gets past all the hurdles) and if there is a real threat, it will be able to be addressed in a democratic society. If it can't the issue's going to be a d@mn sight more important than warbirds. (And this
isn't the forum for "d@amn sight more important than warbirds".)

As it is an International audience here a reduction in flying aircraft or operations in the US will adversely affect what is seen and discussed here as will as in the magazines and other web sites around the world.
Firstly it's Chicken-Licken scaremongering at the moment, and secondly there's a lot of other neat old aeroplane stuff going on outside the US as well. We'll miss your involvement, sure, but we'll give you a good fire-sale price on your CAC Mustangs, if you have to divest...
