Hello
We have, on our C-47, a trailing wire system that we are trying to put in order.
We already have the RL-42-B and BC-461 control box and only 3 parts of the system are missing
- MC-215 Mechanical Spline Shaft Assembly - RL-42-B to BC-461
- PL-112 Connector: RL-42-B (1) to BC-461 (1)
- WT-7-A Antenna Weight

Any help will be welcome to find the missing parts
Thanks

Pat,

When I was looking for radio parts for the B-17, I found many of them on eBay, including a new-old-stock "bomber egg" (WT-7-A) still in its box. You may also be able to get the items you need from Jay Wisler or Taigh Ramey. The MC-215 spline shafts come in many lengths; be sure to get the right one.

Hello Dave
Thanks for your proposal. Actually just the three parts listed in my first message are missing. And we hope to find them in the future.

The MC-215 can be shortened to the length needed if need be. We've done this before. So, like Dean mentioned, they come in a variety of lengths... err on the side of longer...

I need also to find the schematic for the connection to the RL-42-B. I already have the one for the BC-461 control box but I need to know, on the plug which is connected to the RL-42-B which is the pin to connect the +24V
There is a Maintenance Manual AN 08-10-3 but I don't have it.

Hello
Yesterday afternoon we put together all the components for the trailing reel antenna. the RL-42-B, the BC-461, plugs and antenna weight. I made the connections between the two plugs and then the 24V DC..
It works perfectly :D 69 years later the motor is working well.

That's great !!!! We have now just to put all the components inside the SNAFU and find a flexible shaft for the counter.

Yes, we found the right one.
We are now at the last step : mounting again all the components inside the plane.

Hello
I am always searching for the Maintenance Manual AN 08-10-3.
I need to find the connections of the plug which is connected to the RL-42-B in order to make the lamp of the BC-461 working.
The red warning light should be on at the moment of the antenna began to be out of the fairlead and maintained on until the weight is snug against the fairlead when the antenna is retracted.
any help is welcome.

Here is the connection for the plug of the BC-461 control box
