Too bad they didn't post the serial number if they had it - neither Baugher or the Accident-Report.com site has an O-47 crash in Oregon on October 20, 1943.

The airplane was O-47A # 38-284. The pilot got lost and ran out of fuel.
The accident is listed on AAIR. The accident report is nine pages and has no photos.
I disagree that the O-47 is the ugliest airplane.
