Well since I arrived late for the Chino POF show Saturday and had to leave early due to a few SoCal fires, my extremely novice photo taking had far too many people in them to want to share with you all. So I'll leave it to the professionals to display their artwork, ... of which Britt Dietz is one of the best in the business so here are just two from his facebook page of the main theme of the show this year.
I didn't get to hang around to see all five in the air at the same time and I'm not even sure that actually happened. Someone else who got there earlier and stayed later may state otherwise, but as you can see all 5 flyable P-38's did get up for a photo shoot. Great shot by Britt. And of course the P-40C looks outstanding. My own personal wish list would be for the folks at TFC at Duxford to re-paint theirs in RAF desert markings so we would have what? One Pearl harbor example, one AVG example, this early example in the photo below and one RAF example of early P-40's. Just my simple thoughts as I don't own them.
For the time I was at the show once again a wonderful job by all involved and the Oracle tent was again a great hangout.
Cindy's volunteers were all outstanding and very nice and helpful, no drama that I witnessed from anyone regarding anything. Fans seemed respectful and knowledgable. Other than a tad windy, the weather was comfortable indeed. Another great show as usual.
