He'd get my vote for WIX Warbird Pilot of the Year Award 2013 if we had such a thing :supz:

Klaus Plasa did the first flight of Don Hansen´s Fw 190 in Baton Rouge

So fortunate Rote Sieben had a bed of wheat to set in at! That sucker has the glide ratio of a homesick brick! Congratulations and a fresh pair of skivvies to the Herr Plasa!

I'm going to take that last shot, run it through the grayscale converter in Photoshop, and you almost wouldn't be able to tell it wasn't taken in 1943. :)

Good luck with that.
Usually digital images simply turned into B&W still don't look at all authentic. Unless there is some sort of program out there, the modern images are not grainy like film (you can also notice it when you view old motion picture film and compare it to videotape...as an example watch an episode of MASH which was shot on film vs. most other 70s-80s sitcoms that were taped).

Yellow filter, desensitized red, light white vignetting, and a touch of grain.

Air don't burn nor does it pump very well in a fluid pump.

Correct you are. The ole "Air doesn't burn" issue. Air isn't really a substance. It's a collection of substances, some of which may burn. But the primary component (oxygen) is the catalyst of fire. However, oxygen itself doesn't burn.
