What is attached to the bomb racks?

Tie downs, perhaps? Although I cannot make out a connection to the ground. But bomb rack attach points would make dandy tie downs.

Training wheel attach point to prevent ground loops.
I would be inclined to say possibly tow target attach bracket or antenna of some kind. Seems to be low enough to avoid flaps when lowered as well as being able to receive line of sight to avoid the scoop/lower fuselage. Maybe even a camera mount.

Speaking of P-51H / F-51H.... does anyone know what ANG units flew the H model? Obviously the Mass ANG.... I know the California ANG did.... who else?

does anyone know what ANG units flew the H model?
111th at Houston flew post Korean war. They transitioned back to the Mustang after flying F-84Es in Korea.

New Mexico, New York, Vermont, Massachusetts are shown on the Swiss Mustangs web site. Apparently the Arizona ANG had one H model for all of one week!

Illinois Air Guard also flew some H models with the 169th Fighter Squadron in Peoria.
