If at all possible we should try to do more than archive it. New photos, restorations, wreckoveries will happen over the years and it would be nice to have someone add these as they come in. I appreciate Mark's vote of confidence, but I have an overly active research life (nonaviation) already and retirement for me is still ten years away, but surely there is someone out there who would enjoy being the recipient of new axis-aircraft images and placing them into the site.
If there are any significant expenses in the transfer to a new server let us know. There should be enough people here who will put some money in to support continued access to this page.
It will depend on Mikaels wishes. I will either create a static archive of the site in it's current form or I will integrate it into the site as a separate department, like the Luftwaffe, USAAF, USN and Registry sections. In the later case we will see about working on updates. We'll have to wait and see what develops.
