A few recent pics. The left wing was fitted into the fuselage without any forcing or hammering. It slide in easy. Good jigs. The R/H wing will be installed next week and the P47 put on gear for the belly skins to be fitted.

Please remind me... Is this the one that had a engine fire on take off a few years ago?

Sounds like a well engineered kit. Was it Tamiya?

Pardon my ignorance, but where is this restoration taking place? Nice work.

There is no such thing as ignorance on the board! With that said I think the restoration is still taking place at the Cavanaugh Flight Museum in Texas.

As per a previous posting by Doug, "The major sheet metal repairs are being done by Terry Rogers of RB Airframes in Sherman Texas, 65miles north of Dallas".

Mr. Carry, I'm afraid I take umbrage with your comment.

It is quite obvious there is ignorance on this board. For one thing, I post here!

Scott, can't something be done about posting such misleading comments?

Doug,

Just out of idle curiosity, will you be getting a new helmet with a different paint scheme when the Corsair is ready to fly?

I have a new helmet. The burned one I keep as a reminder to wear my new one.
