Flying to the UK for one airshow would be a bit excessive anyway, but they tend to have several airshows tightly spaced in time and place plus some amazing museums, so I'd go for a few weeks and cover my bets.
When I went to Duxford it rained both days, but it was your typical English drizzle and it didn't deter any flying, not even the open cockpit stuff. I gained a grateful respect for British operators' relevance to expose their planes to a little weather, both on the ground and in the air. Not sure the same is true in Seattle although the truth is that summers are pretty dry there.
Both Seattle and the UK tend to the drizzly kind of rain that may not completely kill the day, unlike the epic storms that the central and eastern U.S. gets in the summer.
