Quote:
64064 was built by Consolidated Factory, Lake Ponchartrain, New Orleans, as c/n 2134 by the end of the war and delivered to US Navy as BuNo. 64064.
Between 1966 and 1973 she was the first Watebomber in France as F-ZBAZ Pelicsan Noir.
After completed military service she and three other -6A aircraft N10011, N10013 and N10014 were purchased by Frank Ayers to be used by World Wide Airways in Canada.
Since the -6A was not certified in Canada at this time they were all converted to -5A.
In the mid -50s N10011 became CF-IZZ, N10013 became CF-IZO and N10014 became CF-IZU they all were converted to waterbombers and survives as such.
CF-IZO is resident at the aircraftmuseum in Bodö, Norway paitned as FP535
CF-IZU is preserved in St Anthony, Newfoundland,
CF-IZU / EC-FMC is now for sale.
Between 2009 and 2011 we spent over 2500hrs putting her back to airworthy status. Due to a series of unfortunate circumstances we have decided to withdraw from the project and put her up for sale.
