TIM! That's funny,

It has not had that in about 4 years!

I drove out to see it the other day, It had been blown off its parking spot by the strong winds that passed through here a few weeks ago.
It ended up about 25 feet away off the side of the closed runway it is sitting on and into the grass off the side.
It runs, but is out of annual. Everything works but.....

(BTW That pic was from 1978, Active Duty!)

Hopefully we will see it fly again sometime this year!

Any "Volunteers" want to help out with this?

When I get a new scanner I'll get a better scan for the negative and not a fading print. So the smoke screen might be there just not in this scan.

But before I go shopping I need to find out what is in my future. Know of any good jobs in the central Maine area?

Hey guys I'll have go and dig through the storage unit, I think that's the same BuNo C-1 I use to go flying in and help keep clean when it lived in Reno. That looks just like the one anyway. That would be when Al Reddick had it. Ah to be a teenager again working for a warbird shop!!!! those were the days

Cool! Glad to see it is still around! I can remember when we painted that on there. It was a friend of Al's from England, I think his name was Buster can't remember for sure. He use to drive around in an old Army ambulance that was made into a camper. Was Alot of fun flying that airplane around, I remember when they were out doing single engine training and decide to call it good, they fired back up the #1 engine and where just bring in the power when the #2 decided it was done, and with a BIG BANG, CLUCKLITY,CLUCKITY and it quit!!!! They couldn't even feather the prop!!!! They landed and taxied up to the hangar, we pulled the oil screens out and you could read P/N's!!! The ole engine just ate herself. They figured the bearing failure was from the airplane sitting in the boneyard for so long. I sure do miss those days. It's kind of a irony that the plane Al crashed in and died was an S-2 with an Engine failure on take off. He was great man and friend to allow this little punk kid (at the time) to hang out and learn things and go flying in some very cool airplanes! You guys ever make it out towards the West let me know I would love to see the old bird again.
Scott.....
lost in Wyoming

I'm pretty sure that a/c is and has been "parked" on the airport property for a long time now and has not flown in at least that long also. Yes, it is around but I'd bet she isn’t so pretty these days.

Anyone has a more up-to-date picture of it?

Scott, maybe that would be a nice WIX Taxi?

It flew into BVY about 4 years ago and is run on occaison, he is too busy with his O-2.
I have a set of wheels for the Mixmaster sitting in my livingroom as a matter of fact.
I am going to call him in a little while and remind him about lunch on sunday.

I found this after a big search.
