Cool! Glad to see it is still around! I can remember when we painted that on there. It was a friend of Al's from England, I think his name was Buster can't remember for sure. He use to drive around in an old Army ambulance that was made into a camper. Was Alot of fun flying that airplane around, I remember when they were out doing single engine training and decide to call it good, they fired back up the #1 engine and where just bring in the power when the #2 decided it was done, and with a BIG BANG, CLUCKLITY,CLUCKITY and it quit!!!! They couldn't even feather the prop!!!! They landed and taxied up to the hangar, we pulled the oil screens out and you could read P/N's!!! The ole engine just ate herself. They figured the bearing failure was from the airplane sitting in the boneyard for so long. I sure do miss those days. It's kind of a irony that the plane Al crashed in and died was an S-2 with an Engine failure on take off. He was great man and friend to allow this little punk kid (at the time) to hang out and learn things and go flying in some very cool airplanes! You guys ever make it out towards the West let me know I would love to see the old bird again.
