Another great photo essay, Mark! I would have thought that by the time the PBJ-1H was in production the Marines would have been using the tri-color camouflage but, the photo shows otherwise. I also love seeing the overspray from the white. It also cracks me up to see the PBJ-1D with de-icing boots! Kind of like wearing suspenders and a belt...

The first to images of the Corsair are taken at the Stratford, CT factory, right
next to the entrance to the seaplane ramp. The ramp still exists today.

By the way, Mark. The 1959 Corvette is not Powder Blue, it's Frost Blue. :wink: I'd include a picture of my '59 but, it's turquoise...er...Crown Saphire.

The first CAF SBD has the star wrong, a mistake many make with the meat ball.
