Another great photo essay, Mark! I would have thought that by the time the PBJ-1H was in production the Marines would have been using the tri-color camouflage but, the photo shows otherwise. I also love seeing the overspray from the white. It also cracks me up to see the PBJ-1D with de-icing boots! Kind of like wearing suspenders and a belt...

The first to images of the Corsair are taken at the Stratford, CT factory, right
next to the entrance to the seaplane ramp. The ramp still exists today.
