Thanks Scott for posting these for me (being the computer/internet/photo challenged person that I am).

Photo captions:

#1 APU (auxiliary power unit) opposite rear entrance door

#2 left side of radio compartment - radio operator's position

Great pics! You don't happen to have any pictures of the top-turret assemply from inside the airplane do you? Some more cockpit pictures?

Are you sure the turbo is from a B-17? Looks more like a B-29?

FlyingFortB17 - no more cockpit pictures (I spent most of my time talking with my guide Hank Hendrickson, a 30 combat mission 8AF B17 pilot). And, it is bloody hard without the correct (r-e-a-l-l-y wide angle) lens to get ANY shots of the top turrent from inside the A/C. If you have been there, you know what I am talking about. If not, take my word; I have tried and failed. :cry:

Chris - you are right - I incorrectly included the B29 turbo in the B17 pictures. :oops: :oops: :oops: Thanks for catching that.
