To everyone,
We have quietly observed all your comments...the good, the bad and the ugly. We have appreciated everyone's reviews, suggestions and experiences. We looked at them all! (even the ones that may have been viewed by some as offensive, we found an opinion in there that can help us better the air show).
As a coordinator for Thunder Over Michigan I feel we would be remised if we did not consider everyone's views on the show as this is the type of discussion that makes our show better year after year.
To let everyone in on a little background, the air show committee met this past Saturday for a very in-depth air show debrief. Each department was represented and the meeting lasted nearly 5 hours! We spent time on every aspect of the show (positive or negative) and viewed it from the standpoint of the spectators, volunteers, participants, sponsors, coordinators and appropriate authorities.
We evaluated each department and their performance and made appropriate suggestions regarding how we can make it better in the future. ALL (and I honestly mean ALL) suggestions and comments were reviewed and there existed no real challenge we couldn't overcome.
I thank everyone for being so passionate about this show and the mission of the Yankee Air Museum. I encourage you to keep the suggestions coming as we do this show for you......the enthusiasts.
I know everyone will be happy with the changes that will be instituted in 2007 and we are committed to producing one of the best warbird gatherings in North America!
Thanks for all the support and see everyone back in 2007!
Blue skies...
