Both look like the same type - I first thought they were B-66s but they've got what look like engines under the tail. Look on Live Local and you can go to the Bird's Eye mode and see them much better.

EDIT! Got 'em - they're the two Bell X-21s (which were modified from B-66s, so at least I was close ).

Might I suggest using http://live.local.com for aircraft ID purposes? I'm not usually a big proponent of microsoft products, but in this case they provide access to much better, and newer pictures.

Wasn't this the operating name of Tom Friedkin's collection at one time? If so, the aircraft are currently based at Chino with 'Planes of Fame' under the 'Chino Warbirds Inc' name.

Forgive me if you have already seen this, but these guys have labeled and marked many of the locations you've asked about, including Edwards AFB, surviving F-4's, Etc..

I thought I heard that the NMUSAF had pulled one of these back to the museum for restoration. Was that correct?

Long Beach Airport NEED HELP... Is there anything displayed at the airport, pole mounted or otherwise?

No. TBM in outside storage and DC-3s that fly daily to Catalina Island delivering restaurant supplies on south side of airport (on Spring near Redondo).

Ontario Ontario Airport A F-102 was once on display at the airport, but it is no longer there.

I think this is the one that POF had at Chino for 25 years and returned to the USAF.

Map Unconfirmed Information: An aircraft sales company which holds a number of B-25 hulks in its inventory.

Aero Trader is a restoration and maintenance company. They have a storage compound in Borrego Springs. +33° 58' 43.49", -117° 38' 28.87" is their B-25 with their hangar just to the south. If you go two hangars west and one hangar south you will be at the MARC hangar with the C-123 parked in front just off of the taxiway.

Trying to find a particular aircraft at Long Beach using Google Earth is like trying to find a needle in a stack of needles. Thanks for all of your help Brandon, but could I bother you to give me the coordinates of the stored TBM even if it is not public accessible? You must be familiar with the area as that is the C-17 production site.

I read a website indicating there was an F-102 on display outside of the terminal. It was moved about 2-3 years ago. I am having trouble finding the website now. I think I am remembering this correctly.

I had the P-51 covered off by the "Fresno Air Terminal" entry, I just didn't have the designation P-51 in the list. It is now.

I had the Alameda airframes covered. Look for "Encinal High School" and "USN NAS - Alameda" in my list.

As for Bakersfield, the F-84 was once there, but was taken back by the NMUSAF. HOWEVER, there is something interesting at... 35 25 43.77 N 119 02 36.50 W ...What is that? It kind of looks like an A-6 or F9F.

I used to fly in and out of Ontario all the time. Never saw it!

I've forgotten whose it is, but it was sold about 9 months ago, moved to Long Beach, and has been sitting ever since. It is blue with a yellow cowl band.

P.S. There is also a T-6 in the aerial photo parked on the ramp near the approach end of 07R.

Apparently Norton AFB is located at Long Beach. Apparently there is/was a T-39 and F-105 displayed there. I don't see them with Google Earth. Anyone know more?
